Salida Riverside Fine Arts Festival

The Salida Riverside Fine Arts Festival 2010 invites fine artists to exhibit in this regional juried fine arts event, August 11 and 12. Salida is located in the heart of the South Central Rockies and has the distinction of being one of "America's best art towns", according to The 100 Best Art Towns in America, by author John Villani. White water rafting, 'Fourteener' mountain hiking, horseback riding and area hot springs, world class river fishing and the charm of a small mountain town with 15 art galleries, unique boutiques and venues featuring local musicians make Salida a popular vacation spot.

The festival is in a picturesque willow tree filled park with lush green lawns and on two adjacent streets adjacent to the park, on the banks of the Arkansas River, in the downtown Historic District. Colorful kayakers, rafters and fly fishermen can be seen from the festival site and enhance the mood of the festival.

The Music Stage features the best of local talent entertaining festival attendees and exhibitors with libations served on the lawn. Sound is carefully monitered and is a complement to Artists' booths. Distinctive culinary offerings, The Creatiive Station for all Ages and The Salida Circus (world touring children's circus performers) also contribute to this very fine event.
